What originally is bel canto?

Of course most singers and song pedagogues state, they would have mastered and they would teach the art of bel canto. Who wants to be reproached for not being able to sing in a beautiful way or even for having an ugly voice?

The original root of the term - which is first of all no vocal technique itself, but a result of sounding - is the Old-Italian vocal method (article about this technique on the sub page Publications).
Several films demonstrating this technique you can find on the website V E R E N A_R E I N_M E D I A.
The Old-Italian vocal technique causes:

Violetta

   · ease/effortlessness
   · beauty of sounding
   · well-balanced registers
   · individual timbre
   · colourfullness
   · sonority
   · long life of the voice
   · wide range of dynamic nuances
   · natural articulation

Unfortunately this technique is almost not taught anymore and therefore it is threatened to dying out soon.
Actually, this is not understandable, because the sound result, the long life of an in that way qualified voice, as well as the effortlessness in which a singer is able to sing then, are absolutely convincing and pleasant for the singer and for his audience. Urgently this old knowledge (combined with the latest research results of our days) must be spread and mediated more again.

The soprano Verena Rein has made it her enthusiastic business to position herself to that important task. She tries to put all her knowledge and experience into her performances with dedication - but she also opens highly interested professional singers and voice students a door to a real vocal technique. This technique is not created by chance, or not analysed traditional instructions, which cause voice problems. It is explainable and provable through all voice registers and enables the singer to a wide range of dynamic nuances, an extraordinary colourfullness and sonority, a natural articulation as well as a high individuality of sounding with an amazing effortlessness.
Verena Rein gives her knowledge to interested professional singers and voice students.
